Some incredible sightings lately while out on Safari

We truly have been blessed with some marvelous sightings while out on Safari in the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park.

Some incredible sightings lately while out on Safari

Heritage Tours & Safaris departs into both the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park and iSimangaliso Wetland Park daily. The past few months have been tremendously busy and being this fortunate to beable to show our clients the true beauty that we are surrounded by has been amazing.

Some incredible sightings lately while out on Safari, Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park

One of the top sightings has to have been a newborn Wild Dog Pup. This is a sighting that we might have come across twice before in the 22 years of visiting and exploring the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park, so yes maybe not one of those amazing Big 5 sightings but something different and magnificent. Wild Dogs are one of the most endangered species on the continent and fortunately, the Hluhluwe Game Reserve has a strong breeding Wild Dog Pack.

Other sightings of course included Lions, Rhinos, Buffalos, Giraffes, Hippos, Cheetah, Antelope, and yes a delightful sighting of Leopard. Leopards are nocturnal animals thus making them quite difficult to spot during the course of the day. However, on this occasion our clients where able to see an amazing Leopard early morning.

The above sighting was truly incredible as the Leopard seemed very calm and stayed in focus for quite some time and everyone aboard the Game Drive Vehicle had a chance to get some amazing pictures.

Our day safari options include either Half-Day, Full-Day or Exclusive Safaris. Each is catered for at one of the numerous picnic spots within the reserve.

On the Half-Day Safari, we provide a lovely bush breakfast and of course, on the full-day safari, you will be able to enjoy a traditional South African Braai (BBQ).

The iSimangaliso Wetland Park is South Africa's very first world heritage site and for good reason. We depart into the park daily and offer a few options into this amazing park, these include the likes of, Sunrise Safari, Sunset Safari, Night Drive Safaris, Full or Half-Day Safaris.

Day drives are incredibly popular and this not only includes game viewing but also a chance to enjoy some snorkeling at Cape Vidal. With its incredible wildlife species such as Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard and Elephant you are in for a treat. Pristine beaches as far as the eye can see and even the off Humpback Whale breaching during the winter months.
