Important announcement to Booking Terms & Conditions and cancellation policy due to COVID 19 VIRUS.

Heritage Tours & Safaris and Shoreline Boat & Walking Safaris, guided by the SATSA, WHO, and general consensus within the local and international Tourism Industry, would like to make the following announcement regarding temporary amendments to the terms and conditions of its bookings and cancellation policy.
This has become necessary due to the continued uncertainty regarding the extent and potential scope of the COVID 19 virus, and the implications thereof on existing and new bookings.
We strongly urge clients to take out addition travel insurance, specifically Cover for Any Risk (CFAR) until such time as the WHO has declared COVID -19 non-pandemic, or a sufficiently reduced risk to not inhibit international travel.
We fully appreciate that this class of travel insurance can be extremely costly. In view of this, we would like to offer our clients with existing bookings a 1% discount on their Heritage Tours & Safaris invoice price upon receipt of proof of having taken out CFAR insurance covering 50% of their tour costs. This discount will be increased to 2% of their Heritage Tours & Safaris invoice for clients who have taken CFAR travel insurance covering 75% of their tour costs. Our wish is that this discount structure will offset to some extent the cost of CFAR travel insurance.
In an effort to attract clients to visit this beautifully unique part of South Africa, however, we would like to offer clients considering cancelling their travel plans an alternative option.
Heritage Tours & Safaris, Shoreline Boat & Walking Safaris & Heritage House clients not wishing to travel on their original dates due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus outbreak, may take up their booking within 12 months of the original date, at the same rate as originally charged.
Only one amendment per booking will be permitted, and this must be made no less than 30 days prior to arrival in St. Lucia, failing which, our standard cancellation policy will apply.
Outright cancellations by clients not wishing to exercise this option, will be subject to our standard cancellation policy, and clients will have to claim from their travel insurance.
Heritage Tours & Safaris, Shoreline Boat & Walking Safaris, and Heritage House reserve the right to alter any amendment(s) as stated above.
