1. Hippo Boat Trips
The most popular and what has to be the most amazing Safari has to be the Hippo Boat Cruises along the St Lucia Estuary.
This 2-hour adventure takes place on the iSimangaliso Wetland Park Estuary formerly known as the St Lucia Estuary. One of the largest systems in Africa, you are guaranteed of witnessing the resident Hippos.
It is estimated that the estuary is home to approximately 800 Hippos and 1200 Nile Crocodiles. Generally, the cruise travels in a northerly direction, and as mentioned before you will most definitely get to see these amazing animals en route. Other fascinating wildlife that are also sometimes witnessed include the likes of WaterBuck, Elephants, and Leopard along the banks of the Estuary.
This is an easy tour with no difficulties whatsoever, we would suggest a light jacket and camera for some of those incredible moments.

2. St Lucia 3 Hr Sunset Safaris
Travel from St Lucia into the Eastern Shores of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park on Safari. This 3-hour magnificent safari is conducted in an Open Game Drive Safari Vehicle and conducted by a knowledgeable and experienced game ranger. Sit back and enjoy the beauty and wildlife.

One of the best experiences ever!! We chose the sunset safari with the amazing Yamkela as our guide, heritage day tours and safaris have set the bar on game drives extremely high. Yamkela our guide was very informative about the local wildlife he was so patient in his tour and made every experience filled with fun. The highlight was a young male elephant out in the open and tried to scare us off with his might but Yamkela handled it all too well! I have used this firm twice now and both times they have been excellent, both times our guide was Yam who was highly professional, with excellent knowledge and a great manner, they also show great respect for the park and its animals, unlike some of the other companies I saw.
The food was of good quality and the whole tour was excellent value for money. I intend to use this firm again later in the year when I return with my family.
