St Lucia is a small village with a total population of 1000 this number triples and is primarily due to the incredible wildlife and scenery that surrounds St Lucia KwaZulu Natal. The town is nestled inside of the very first world heritage site iSimangaliso Wetland Park, and therefore the town is actually a world heritage site.
St Lucia is surrounded by water ie, the Estuary and the Indian Ocean, and this greatly contributes to the vast amount of Day Tours and Safaris that are on offer while in St Lucia.
St Lucia Safaris - Most Popular Tours
1. Hippo Boat Trips
The most popular and what has to be the most amazing Safari has to be the Hippo Boat Cruises along the St Lucia Estuary.

Some of our Happy Clients
One of the best experiences ever!! We chose the sunset safari with the amazing Yamkela as our guide, heritage day tours and safaris have set the bar on game drives extremely high. Yamkela our guide was very informative about the local wildlife he was so patient in his tour and made every experience filled with fun. The highlight was a young male elephant out in the open and tried to scare us off with his might but Yamkela handled it all too well! Outstanding service I would choose heritage day tours and safaris always. Thanks, Yamkela for a once in a lifetime experience!!!
I have used this firm twice now and both times they have been excellent, both times our guide was Yam who was highly professional, with excellent knowledge and a great manner, they also show great respect for the park and its animals, unlike some of the other companies I saw.
The food was of good quality and the whole tour was excellent value for money. I intend to use this firm again later in the year when I return with my family.
We were also fortunate to have the pleasure of joining Arnu and Jabulani on the safari tours. Their extensive knowledge of the local area, wildlife, and ecosystems added an enriching dimension to our visit. Arnu and Jabulani's expertise made the tours not only informative but also deeply engaging, leaving us with a comprehensive understanding of the natural beauty and wildlife that surrounds Heritage House. Their passion for the area and its wildlife was contagious, and it truly enhanced our experience.
